My Trip to the Map
I was traveling over the United States when I was over
the midwest states and I got caught in a string. I almost
fell to the Gulf of Mexico. When I thought I was going to
the Gulf of Mexico, I was happy, but I went down and I
landed in Texas. I didn't know where I was going to go, but
one thing, I had some relatives in Texas. They would not
know me, because I haven't seen them for a long time. I
haven't seen them for about 6 years. That's why they
probably wouldn't recognize me. How do you think I got

MY TWIN BROTHER
Do you know I have a twin brother? He
goes to West Lawn. He looks different. He is taller than me.
He was born in 1788. I was born in 1888. We look young for
our age.

WHEN I WAS A LITTLE
BABY BOY
After I work in school and I had a good
day, I go to college. I stay there til 1:00 in the morning.
While I'm there, I'm studying about how to be an astronaut
and about rockets and how to control them.
This picture was taken in 1994 when I was
a kid. I was with my dad looking at other planets and taking
pictures of the earth.

The Shoe
Have you seen the button by the girl's
bathroom? Don't push it. You'll get little. That's what
happened to me. I really learned my lesson. This picture was
taken in ESL. I said, "This is the life!"
When I said that, I went to sleep in my
shoe. Then I had a big problem, I couldn't touch the button.
I got my friend and she didn't listen to me.

WHEN I WAS A DANCER
I have been dancing since I was a little
girl. I dance because it was my dream for a long time. This
picture was taken on Sunday while I was performing in the
Nutcracker. This costume was my favorite.

Little Me
Hello my name is Karla. I used to be over 5 foot
tall, but one day I ate something I was not supposed to eat.
My Mom said, "Don't eat that!" But I did. It was a carrot
that hadn't been washed. When I woke up, I was small. I got
in my brother's backpack so no one would step on me. Then we
went to school.
Nobody could see me, so I sat on top of the table. My
friend Maria helped me get on top of the table. I was
thirsty, I couldn't get a drink of water because I was
afraid that I would go down the drain.
In ESL, I was reading to Maria. When it was time to leave
she forgot that I was there. She shut the book and Splat!

THE DINOSAUR STORY
I was dreaming that I was in a movie
about dinosaurs, but when I woke up, I was little and the
dinosaurs almost ate me. I ran really fast and got into a
pocket chart. I almost died, but I saved my life by going up
on the table, but they couldn't. I had to wait until school
started.

The Ballerina
Last week, I went to dance in a festival
and I was on tv, on channel 16. When I was a little girl, I
danced and I studied and I liked to be a ballernia.
The festival started at 8:00.
