COUGAR NOTES FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Please let the office know ASAP if your home address, phone number, or any contact information changes. It is very important that our school records stay current, especially if there is an emergency and we need to get in contact with you quickly.

If you are running late please call. If your child is going to be late for school please call and let us know before 8:30. Lunches for the day need to be counted and ordered as early as possible to make sure  that everyone will have a hot lunch.

At Home Reading Students who reach their third quarter reading goal will celebrate at Skate Island. There are lots of fun things to do at skate island besides skating for those who don≠t want to skate. Students will be allowed to bring money to play the arcade games. More details will be sent home in the near future.  Students will get  DOUBLE days for reading during Spring Break. The double days over spring break is a great opportunity for a student, who has fallen behind, to catch up. The double days will count for 3rd quarter ≥At Home≈ reading goal.

No School March 15, Elementary Teacher Workday
No School March 17-21, GIPS Spring Break

Third Quarter report Cards will be sent home March 27th

Don≠t forget to save your Box Tops for Education

Please note the PTA meeting schedule for the rest of the school year:  March 4th, April 1st, and May 6th. Mark your calendar, this year's PTA Carnival will be on April 4th.

Have you lost something? Our lost and found is overflowing with warm winter clothing. If your child has misplaced something please stop by and check the lost and found.

Just a reminder, PLEASE BUCKLE UP your children when you pick them up at school. Everyday I watch students getting into vehicles and never buckling up before Mom or Dad drives away. This is a serious safety concern. Nebraska law requires that children be buckled up.

At Home Reading Total: Over 17,000 days read so far.
Our goal is 27,000 for the year.

Lunch with your child at school: If you plan to come and eat lunch with your child at school please bring the exact change with you $2.65. Sorry, we don't have change at school. Also, please call the school and order a lunch by 8:30.
