Welcome to the Technology Integration Experiences (T.I.E.) Program!
The purpose of the T.I.E. Program is to provide staff members with access to the skills, hardware and software which will enable them to integrate technology into core curriculum areas as an instructional, problem solving, and productivity tool. We would like to welcome staff members from Dodge, Engleman, Gates, Howard, Jefferson, Knickrehm, Lincoln, Newell, Seedling Mile, Shoemaker, Starr, Stolley Park, Wasmer and West Lawn elementaries, Barr, Walnut, and Westridge middle schools, and Senior High. We have over 100 participants this year! T.I.E. workshops will be held at Walnut Middle School from 4:15 - 7:15 p.m. on the following dates.
In addition to participating in workshops each month, participants will be requested to complete monthly assignments providing hands-on practice with the software. Each participant is also required to complete reflection statements each month regarding the integration of software into their curriculum areas. T.I.E. Program participants must develop and post a minimum of four integrated lessons or units on the school web site. The lessons or units must be aligned with school district curriculum standards and include samples of student work and assessments.
