Home - Hello! I am Alice Barnes, a fifth grade teacher at
West Lawn Elementary - home of the Mustangs! 
I graduated from Wolbach, Nebraska in 1982. In 1986, I graduated from Wayne State College with a degree in Elementary Education. I received my Special Education Endorsement from the University of Vermillion in South Dakota in 1988. My first teaching job was at a country school near Albion, Nebraska. I've worked for GIPS for 20 years at Howard, Starr, and West Lawn Elementaries. My family consists of my husband, Dar, and my daughters, Kayla and Kenna.
