Task Title: Add A Line
Subject: Writing
Designer: Barbara Alberts
Introduction: This is a study of the writing process and six traits.
Content standards/understandings assessed through this task: Wrting six traits and the writing process.
Task Description: Students will create a story with a beginning, middle, and end.
Task Directions: Students will write a lead sentence on the computer.
Students will then move one chair to the right to add on appropriate
sentence to the story.
Description of student product(s)/performance(s) which will provide
evidence of learning : Story must have a beginning, a middle, and an
end. Students will add only appropriate sentences to the
story. Stories must have E.S.P. The lead sentence author
must be able to read the story with fluency after they revise and edit
ther e story.
Criteria for evaluation of student products/performances: Writing
six traits have been followed. Writing process is evident.

Resources needed : Writers Express Book, Computer Lab,
Teacher reflections: This project presents the students with the
perfect opportunity to use the writing process . Students were
excited about doing the process.
