GIPS: Barr Home: Recommended Reading Lists

A lot of times students will ask what is a good book, or what we could recommend for them to read. In addition to the following
2004-5 Reading List, here is a list of what is on teachers' bedside tables and what they are reading.

Mrs. Waring-Houser -"DLP is reading "Dear Dumb Diary - My Pants are Haunted!" by Jim Benton about middle school kids. It is so funny we can hardly get through reading out loud!"

Mr. Weaver is reading "The Autobiography of Santa Claus" and "Flags of our Fathers"

Mrs. Hickok - I'm reading "Jack's Run", sequel to "Zach's Lie". It's good for people who like lots of action and suspense.

Mrs. Pagel - the Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld.
(She even went to Hastings at 9pm on a school night
to find the sequel because she couldn't wait!)

Mrs. Fiala - "The Truth About Sparrows" - just started it.

Mrs. Toepfer - "So B. It" - just about half way through it.

Mrs. Swan - "Twilight" and "New Moon" by Stephanie Meyer
I read both of these in one weekend! They are great, and we've ordered them both for our school library! They are VAMPIRE books! I couldn't put them down!
And - adults love them too!
