Our reading groups continue to read many different genres that interest us and improve our comprehension and fluency.
   
Look for weekly spelling lists to come home for the remainder of the year.  Soon the lists will concentrate on words from our study of Nebraska.
   
We are experiencing many different reasons for writing and different ways to write; such as poetry, tall tales, non-fiction, informational, and persuasion.


Wow!!!  The forgiving method of division takes lots of patience and forgiveness!!!  We do really like it!!!


We travel to Lincoln on Thursday, May 19 for our annual field trip.  We will visit the state capitol building, the Museum of Nebraska History, and Morrill Hall.  Everything in class in now focused on what we want to know for our trip such as our government, exhibits in the Museum of Ne History and Morrill Hall.  We can't wait to see "Archie", the largest mastodon skeleton... found here in Nebraska.


Mrs. Roby continues to work with us on the study of animals.  We've learned about adaptations, basic needs,  and the different kingdoms of the animal world.
