Task Title: Our 5 Senses   
Subject: Senses
Designer: Irene Mendez

Introduction
The students in my Kindergarten class have been studying a unit about their body. We have discussed our five senses and done several lessons on each one. This project is to see if they can remember which sense does what.

Content standards/understandings assessed through this task
Technology:
1.1.3.2 Log into and out of the network using name and ID number.
1.1.4 Launch new programs
1.1.6 Use the scroll bar to effectively move through the application screen
The understanding of how our five senses work.                                                                                                                                   

Task Description
Students will create a web about the 5 senses. The web will have a picture that go along with each sense. Students need to have at least one picture or more for each sense.

Task Directions
Students will log into the computer. Open up the software program Kidspiration and click on a web outline that has already been created. Once they have opened the web they need to look in the library for pictures that could describe something you could taste, smell, see, hear, and touch. (example a ice cream cone for taste)

Description of student product(s)/performance(s) which will provide evidence of learning
Students will complete the graphic organizer with at least one picture for each of the five senses. 

Criteria for evaluation of student products/performances
Students will need to have at least one picture for each of the senses if not more. The picture must go with one of the five senses.

Teacher reflections
All of my students were very successful in completing the task. Not only that but they came up with some ideas that we had not talked about. This proved to me that they really understood the content I wanted them to.
