 We are
taking a different approach to Spelling this year. Our fourth grade
standard for Spelling states that the students use conventional
spelling in written work. Therefore, the students are assessed on their
ability to spell words correctly in their journal assignments. Based on
the percentage of correct words, the students receive a score of one
through four. I hope this allows each student to exceed to their
potential as well as teach them strategies that will improve their
ability to spell words correctly on their own.
