Humpty Dumpty
An ELA Performance Task for Kindergarten

 Identify body parts
 Ask for and give information

Task Directions:
     Oh no!  Humpty Dumpty just fell off the wall!  As the King's helpers, you need to work with your partner to put him back together.  Humpty Dumpty will only be complete if you and your partner ask and answer the question, "What is it? for each piece of the puzzle.

Resources Needed:
Humpty Dumpty puzzle
Sound Studio software or iPod

Student Performance that provides evidence of learning:
Students identify the body parts using the targeted vocabulary, "What is it?"  "It is a ____________."
Puzzle is completed correctly.

Performance Evaluation: 
Student answers can be recorded using Sound Studio or an iPod.
